Celebrating The Impact
Design The Dream is a fundraising event celebrating the accomplishments of Black women in Research and Technology, while showcasing the impact of Measure in the past 6 years. Through storytelling and time travel, we aim to unite the community, inspire future generations of Black women in research, and counter the threats to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion that Texas is facing. Your support is crucial in ensuring Measure's mission thrives.
Through our advanced data-driven approaches and community-led anti-racist evaluation tools, we ensure that lived experience data is used by communities and institutions to design and implement equitable solutions to address social disparities. By disrupting traditional research methods, our services give Black, Brown, and Indigenous organizations an advantage in advocating for their causes and obtaining the resources necessary to keep their work alive.

Celebrating Our Storytellers
Measure is important to our community as it helps organizations elevate and center the voices of historically disempowered and underinvested BIPOC communities in the design and development of programs and services. Working with Measure helps to ensure we are meeting communities where they are and helping to build on what they have.
Because I come at research from a quantitative background, I was trained to remove bias from research activities, and that’s how we deal with it. Because of CERC, however, I learned that these students understood biases and how to identify it from the beginning, because their lived experiences are from the communities served by the nonprofits they were partnered with. When students can see themselves in the communities that they are helping, it's much easier for them to understand that research is more meaningful when the community perspective is embedded in it.
Change requires data, data provides facts, facts cultivate questions and answers, that ultimately demand solutions for change.
